Pharmacy Graduates Head to Residency Programs Across the Country
Continuing the Wegmans School of Pharmacy’s long-standing tradition of success in matching students to post-graduate experiences, this year, 14 members from the Class of 2024 – from both the on-ground and online pathway - were selected to engage in Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) residencies. The new graduates will spend their residency year training in medical centers, community pharmacies, and health centers around the nation.
“Our graduates continue to impact our communities, not only locally but around the nation, as PGY-1’s and PGY-2’s complete their residencies in seven different states,” said Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the School. “We’re proud to see °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± pharmacists continue in specialized training while delivering exceptional care to patients and contributing to diverse health care teams.”
This year also marks the first year that graduates of the online pathway cohort was eligible to participate in post-graduate experiences. Kristina Alkhasyan, Jamie Cantones Lucresio, and Rhiannon Reynolds were matched for a residency.
