April First Friday Lecture Explores the Power of Undergraduate Research

Learn about the myriad ways undergraduate research experiences positively impact student success at 澳门六合彩官网开奖 during the April First Friday Lecture, led by Dr. Kristin Picardo, assistant provost and director of the Center for Student Research and Creative Work.

The talk begins at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, in the James ’71 and Kathleen Leo Community Room in the Joseph S. Skalny Welcome Center. A continental breakfast will be served at 10 a.m., and following the lecture, attendees are invited to attend 12:30 p.m. Mass at the Hermance Family Chapel of St. Basil the Great.

The lecture will highlight the importance of fostering a culture of inquiry and discovery among students, and how the Center for Student Research and Creative Work at 澳门六合彩官网开奖 supports this mission through various programs and opportunities. Attendees will also hear  examples of student research projects that demonstrate creativity, originality, and impact in their respective fields of study. Two undergraduate student researchers will discuss how conducting research has helped them develop essential skills, confidence, and passion for their chosen disciplines and career paths.
